Become a Friend

Registered charity number 1140009

We hope that you might consider supporting our work by becoming a “Friend of the Trust”. The Trust is run entirely by volunteers. We cover nearly all the cost of maintaining our Bee Garden and developing the Bee Sanctuary from income derived from teaching. Generous donations from individuals as well as a grant from Awards for All have made it possible, so far, to convert an existing building into a classroom and perform essential groundwork at the site of the envisaged Bee Sanctuary at Plaw Hatch Farm.  But we would like to go further and convey the message of  the great need for more sympathetic and holistic approaches to beekeeping  in any way we can. A growing body of supporters not only provides us with a reliable income to pay for much needed administrative help, but represents to us an equally important moral support.

Membership of our “Friends” scheme entitles you to receive 20% off the cost of all courses offered by the Natural Beekeeping Trust as well as exclusive discounts from preferred suppliers such as Ieko (Lewes) and Auro (Stroud) eco paints.

In addition, we keep in touch with our Friends via a quarterly newsletter. Friends may also feel encouraged to share their bee-related ideas and concern with us, as we firmly believe that together we can make a difference to the life of the honeybee.

Donation to the scheme costs £2 a month, or £24 for the year.  If you are a UK taxpayer, please choose to Gift Aid your membership fee. By doing so, Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs will add an extra 25p to every £1 you give to the Trust, at no extra cost to you.

To become a Friend, please send a cheque for £24 payable to Natural Beekeeping Trust along with your name, address and email address to:
Ninette Sapir, 46 Ashdown Close, Forest Row, East Sussex RH18 5DF.

Please state clearly in your application that you wish to Gift Aid your membership fee.

Many thanks for your support of our work.
