Monica works for Bees for Development which promotes sustainable beekeeping to alleviate poverty and champion biodiversity. Where forests are healthy, bees are healthy - and natural beekeeping techniques are the norm.

In an initiative designed for the UK, we worked to establish the campaign group Bee
Friendly Monmouthshire to address the dramatic decline in pollinating insects in our
countryside - a decline caused by destruction of our wild areas, woodlands, orchards, hedgerows and meadows, by intensive farming and insecticides.
